The Three Bridges Run 2026… you did it!
The grey day and spurts of drizzle seemed less than ideal from the sidelines, however runners know that actually these conditions make for the best runs! There’s something that makes you feel fast and flighty when the rain is hitting your face, the air feels clean and the temperature is cool. We’re sure there’s a quote by someone that goes something like: “Running in the rain just makes you feel alive!”
And the Three Bridges runners brought that energy!
It was another big Three Bridges Run, with almost 1400 runners taking on the 42km, 21km or 10km courses. The atmosphere along the riverside trails was buzzing all day long, as runners pushed their legs and personal limits, and shared in the joy of running
There were some cracking times out on course, the overall fastest runners were:
10km
• 1st Female: Mary McGrath
• 1st Male: Gerald Tried
21km
• 1st Female: Libby Carr
• 1st Male: Jean-Philippe Picard
42km
• 1st Female: Shona Lynch
• 1st Male: Brad Sloane
But, as always, every single finisher deserves just as many kudos, and we hope you’re proud of what you achieved out there.
The biggest thank you to the amazing team of over 100 volunteers, from early-morning set-up to filling the thousands of cups we are so grateful for their help all day long.
And of course, a big thankyou to our event sponsors: Science in Sport for stocking the aid stations, Tarkine as our event shoe sponsor, and Planet Fitness for fueling the finish line recovery zone.
Still on that runner’s high and want more? Check out the Coastal Classic and Bouddi Coastal Run happening later this year.
